Oil in PCV hose

Oil in PCV hose
Yet another victim of oil in the intake, I found a good amount of oil in my PCV hose and the area surrounding the PCV valve. I have searched and read up on most of the previous posts concerning the oil in intake issue and crankcase pressure and ways to solve the problem such as the separator and additional PCV valve (excellent write up from VRIstang).
My question is:Can anythingcause this besidesblow-by? I still haveboth baffles at the oil fill and the PCV inlet, and I rebuilt the engine a couple thousand miles ago, so I'm really hoping it's not blow-by. I ran dyno bones for the first 1,000 miles for the rings to set. Engine runs great, so I don't think there are any major issues with wrong ring size or anything.
My transmission is currently out so I can't run a compression test right now, and I hate to front $60 for a leak down tester yet. But suppose the leak down test is good, what else could I check?

have a PCV fitting installed toward the front of the intake, connect your pcv valve hose to that new location.
Is there less vacuum at that point, therefore drawing less oil?
I suppose I could make the new hole myself, but how would I know exactly where to drill?
