misfire for awhile then died, elec problems
Ok, i just installed new headgaskets and ever since then the car has had this weird misfire at random times. it started only doing it once every couple days, then almost everyday. just yesterday it finally completely died with no spark and i had to trailer it home. I have replaced the dizzy/cap/rotor/icm. i have no spark coming out of the coil, but the coil is not bad and worked on a friends 5.0. the pcm worked on his car as well, but it did not run well (his is a a9l mine is a a9p, dunno if that makes a difference) the spark at the first cyl on drivers side was very weak until it just flat out died and now i have no spark whatsoever. there is power to the coil as well, i am thinking it could be a wiring issue, coming from pcm to coil, or icm to pcm. what u guys think?

i have no spark, i have fuel cuz i can smell it, but no spark from the coil wire on the dizzy (wire is good). i am thinking that it is a wire thats bad going from dizzy to pcm to coil. i have to check the 12v pulse at the coil on crank to see if the coil is being told to fire or not. i will do that when i have a chance, just have alot going on and this **** decided to happen at a tough time lol.

ok, well as an update, i pulled the dizzy out and the cam gears were pretty much nonexistent and were paper thin. replaced it and seems ok, but now the misfire is back. when it warms up it has a nasty misfire and runs like crap. i almost think it is an injector or something. but my other question, is that i have the a9p computer, if i pick up 24's and a matching maf will it run ok? and would the a9l be an upgrade at all?
