Default Still Backfire/Poping!!!

Ok, I drove my car tonight, and the car seemed to drive fine, but I'm still getting backfire/poping when I let off the gas (intermintent, not frequent or at any specific rpm), and I "THINK" I'm also getting a little bit when I romped on the gas, but I wasn't paying 100% attention either.

The backfire/poping seems to be coming from under the drivers/passenger seat which is around the X in my X - pipe.

If it's backfire, could too high of fuel pressure be the problem?

If it could, would it hurt any to unplug and totally remove the FMU (which increases pressure) and just go without it.?

Tid bit of info, I'm having a bit of sinus problems and my smell and taste are off, so I can't smell gas, etc, but I asked my cousin today and he could deffinitly smell gas when the car was ideling. He said it wasn't strong, but it was there. I could smell that something was off, but can't identify the odore due to my sinuses.

Never launched the car, but I did a slow 1rst gear, and then stepped on it in second. I heard the S/C boosting, but the car didn't seem shockingly faster, and the T-5 didn't seem to like the whole ordeal, go figure, but it did seem to backfire a little after 4000 RPMS, but it was really hard to hear, almost like an exhaust leak, but I haven't done jack to the exhaust, and it wasn't leaking before.

Also, when I adjusted the timing a strage thing happened. I pulled the spout connector out set the timing to 7*, turn off the engine, put the connector back in, clamp down on the distributer bolt, and it shoots back up to 17*, turn the car back off, take the connector back off, start it up, and it's at 7*, turn the car off, put it back on, and boom 16*, WTF is up with this.

I didn't really hear any pining, but the shifter was vibrating way more than usual after 3000 RPMs, engine is just loud, and it's hard to hear much of anything after that point other than the damn exhaust, and the S/C spooling (which isn't that loud).

That is whats supposed to happen.

Yea, I spoke to somebody and found out. I was just stunned because nowhere, in either the Haynes manual, or our on site write up said that lol.

Still a little confused as to the backfire/poping, can't tell which one of the two it is.

FMUs suck, I never got mine to work right... Take that fmu, throw it in the trash & order a blow-through setup & injectors to match. Go get it tuned or tune it yourself.

yeah well, I don't want him to blow his motor up like you know is going to happen if he keeps running without a tune or the AdderMK2 retard box

and there ain't nothing in his kit about running a 12 lb pully

my pulley is about 60mm and it is only a 6lb
