What level of sound change can I expect with BBK shorties?

bbk shorties with an offroad h and flows is the best sound i think you can achieve on a 5.0, i had stock headers on my 94 to an offroad h with flowmaster 40s, she sounded amazing, i got a catted x for emissions and she screamed like a raspy banshee, i felt the extra power up top but i immediately took it off and put the h back on and enjoyed..so i had both and you should get the bbk shorties, the chrome are fine, but will discolor the ceramic are better for heat and what not, so your choice there, but get an offroad h and swap the pipes back whe n it comes time for emissions

Thanks guys, I really appreciate all your feedback.
But now, if I do the 2 year swap thing... I got to know, how hard is it to install the h-pipe and remove the old one? Plus, won't that be like F-ing loud? :S Can't surpass 95 decibels here in Washington.
So I really won't hear much of a difference with shorty headers then? That would be the easiest, most legal option for me.

I am going to be completely honest. A stock induction mustang(stock heads, cam, intake) sounds completely corked up with a performance exhaust(including off-road H-pipe). It just sounds stale, IMO. Now once the car is able to breathe more freely(upgraded heads, cam, intkae), an off-road exhaust sounds great on our cars. My advice, dump your stock 4-cat H-Pipe and get an emissions legal 2-cat one. I know for a fact you'll like it. Plus you won't smell like crap everytime you get out. Also, skip an X-pipe with flowmasters. Like 5.0 85 GT said, pure rasp.

Alright, the 2-cat h-pipe is sounding like a really good idea.
Now I just have to convince my dad to let me get one.
Anyone know why a catted x-pipe is cheaper than a catted h-pipe? Oh, and an o/r h-pipe is cheaper than an o/r x-pipe.
