The needles will no longer glow using that setup. On the back of them you will find a thin white paint, this is the paint that is used to illuminate the needles with the stock gauge face setup. You must sand this paint off, very gently, so that they become fully clear.
Then they will illuminate with your new gauge panel.

what are you talking about?. I spliced into the correct wire and now the dash lights dont come on. Why would I need a test light? I know it is getting power only when the parking lights are turned on.

THE LIGHT IS NOT COMING ON.On the odometer and trip meter the light is not on.I know that the gauges aren't supposed to light those and they aren't restricting light to them either.

then you messed up something with the printed circuit board, or the lights are fully turned in... something.. retrace your steps. you know what you did better than we do.
