Default BBK subframes on con

Has anyone installed subframes on a convertible? Just test fitted mine and there is a big metal plate covering up the rear subframe. Are you supposed to cut that plate out to install the connector? That sucks if so. Should have bought hard top. Damn.

Default BBK subframes on con



Drill out the rivets and drop the factory metal plate. Thenweld on another plate over your torque boxes then weld your subs to that new plate. Check out Anderson ford there's an article on how to do it. Once your subs are in use a piece of angle and reconnect it to the jacking rail and your new subs for some extra support, something like Ken Brown's extreme matrix brace set up.</P>
