S/C
Hey guys, I need your advice. You can see my mods in my sig, do you think it would be a good or bad idea to slap a V-1 kit on my car? What kind of gains can I expect, i know heads and cam will help drastically, but I just wanna know what kinda #'s to expect and if itll hurt my car at all, thanks.

RE: S/C
Well its never a bad thing to add hp to your stang, but there will more to it than just slapping the charger on and drive, you will probaly have to upgrade your fuel system alittle more and of course will have to run a conservative tune"low timing, rich and low boost" but other than that i say go for it,since later down the road after a good forged short block and some heads you will have a beast, and you should expect about a 50-75 rwhp gain with a good tune.

RE: S/C
all honesty you would get better gains from heads and cam before you get the charger. also from what i've seen in the past you can put 10 psi safley to a stock 302 as long as your supporting fuel mods are in order. just search for some of the older threads that have gone over this. if you don't swap the heads your not going to see the greatest gains

RE: S/C
You see a lot more benefit from the S/C than you would with just Heads. Like someone before said, theres a lot more to it than just smacking the S/C on and driving it. You should upgrade the fuel system and have it dyno'd by a creditable tuner. Also, say bye to that factory clutch before to long!

RE: S/C
i heard the v-1 whines ridiculously loud, even at idle, this is my daily driver so im thinking about going SQ, are the ones on www.vortechsupercharger.com, u click on units, those are just the s/c's? not the kits?
