nevermind, I was thinking in terms of a fox mustang, your idea/ mod only works for sn-95's , no two ways around it on a fox, the pulley must come off. BESIDES FYI if you look at the pic and car he has, you'd of noticed that HE HAS A FOX MUSTANG, although nice to know for the sn-95 crowd. I have done that mod to the sn-95 which is why I was confused at what you were stating to the Op cause in terms of a fox owner I couldn't see how that would work, but for a sn-95 owner...it will. The one I did was nowhere near as noticable as that, I made a contoured shape to the hole

Any ideas on how much fluid should have gone in there. I feel like less than half a quart can't be right. I would pour a little in, turn the wheel fully from side to side, it would bubble and suck the fluid in. Repeat till it wouldn't do it any more.

I've only drove the car about 2 miles since doing that.

You fill it until it is full.

It is a no no to turn the wheels on a lot of Fords without the car running. You didn't do that, you should be good.
