Default ECM Compatability

Anyone know if a 4 speed manual computer will work in a 5 speed car. The vehicle is a 91 GT convertible 5 speed. I have heard it would work since on a manual it doesn't control shift points. The computer that came in the car is not available. I'm thinking of trying this, just wondered if anyone else has tried it.

I doubt it. 4 speeds weren't even an option at the same time as EFI engines.
