Default Just installed Clutch and its leaking Tranny fluid!!

Just finished up installing a clutch kit. I lost a bit of tranny fluid during install and filled it up in the fill hole until it dripped and tightened up the plug real good.

I took it for a spin and it feels great, but when i returned home I noticed it smoking a bit and there was a good size puddle of tranny fluid.

I did break the end of the speedo cable and left it disconnected at the trans....could that be the problem??

Please help! Thanks guys!

Yes that would be the problem , my trans leaked at the speedo cable as well until I replaced the pin that holds the cable in.
You should be able to tell if its coming from there .

It looks like what i broke/bent was the speed sensor. I don't have money for the cable right now, so I'm wondering if I can throw a new sensor in there and block it off or put a bolt in there with rtf.

Got it fixed....I broke just the speed sensor, not the speedo cable. I went and got a new sensor and threw it on without the gear b/c that broke trying to fix the old sensor.

Besides not having a speedometer for right now, the clutch feels like one on a new car.
I did a Ram HDX clutch kit with a new ford flywheel, clutch fork, pivot stud, rear-main, hardware, bearing retainer, pilot and throwout bearing. I also got a Maximum motorsports clutch cable with a firewall adjuster and an aluminum quadrant
