Default Need Some Input On My T-5 Bearing Retainer Replacement

I'm replacing the original input bearing retainer with a steel unit I got from Summit Racing but the bolt holes on it are chamfered. The original bolts don't catch much of the housing. A phone call to Summit didn't offer any solutions.

Anyone?

Thanks,

Dan

if there is a good ammount of threads, i would just use a flat washer under each bolt, easy peasy

THAT IS OF NO CONCERN.......more so you should set the preload via the shim behind the race properly......start with using the oem shim and go from there. use a small washer on the bolt and a tad of blue loctite if it worries you.

Yea I think when you change the bearing retainer that's the most important step is making sure your bearing preload stays with in spec.
