Dying while driving /idling and jerking/throttle response
#11
My air pump has not been removed during my ownership. I couldn't tell you if it ever was during its life though. Today I'm going to try to locate any vacuum leaks and also I'm going to clean the MAF and check fuel pressure. I hope I don't have an upper or lower intake gasket leak as that'd be a bit of a headache. Also, yes my maintenance is up to date.

if your air pump is still installed, you may have an issue where it is always pumping air into the manifolds even after it has warmed up. this will cause the o2 sensors to read lean. as it is supposed to stop injecting into the heads/manifolds after it warms up the pcm will respond by adding more fuel and you may exhibit some of the symptoms you have.

Right, correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I can't get rid of it in Pennsylvania where I live. I swear sometimes my car is such a mystery. It's not acting up at all..... idles and drives great. I couldn't locate any vacuum leaks, cleaned the MAF sensor, and I also cleaned the connector for the coil because I noticed it was dirty. Did a trial run and no bogging/jerking whatsoever. Couldn't check the fuel pressure because I couldn't find my gauge....must have gotten misplaced somewhere during my recent move of houses.

That is a mystery lol.
What I would do next then is find your fuel pressure gauge, or rent on from the local parts store, and set it up where you can read it from the drivers seat, then drive the car till it acts up again and verify your not losing fuel pressure.
If fuel pressure stays steady, then next step for me would be verify all grounds are clean and tight. I had a bad ground connection on the neg. cable to the block a couple years ago. It acted like your car once in a while, just out if the blue troubles. Took me 2 weeks of throwing wrenches to find it was a 30 second fix. Live and learn lol.
Good luck
