castrol high milage or syntech?

RE: castrol high milage or syntech?
I wouldn't run a synthetic oil in such a high milage motor. Really if you run a regular conventional oil and change it every 3000 miles or 4-5 monthes your car will be fine oil wise. You could also get shell rotilla oil which is good because it helps keep wear down in your motor from high zinc content.

What ever oil you were using to get to 184,000 would logically be the same one to continue using....
Did 200,000 on castrol GTX on my old mill and castrol GTX on my present mill, if it worked for the first why would I switch? 10w40 (20w50 in the summer on the old mill) and 10w30 on the newfresh motor, K&N filter..same with every car I own. Never understood why people pay high dollar for oil and skimp on the filter...filtration is far more important than type IMO...as long as it's clean it's the right oil.
