get some clay, silly puddy or play dough, stick 5 or 6 ***** that are more then 1" thick in various places on top of the intake. shut the hood, then reopen it. if any of the ***** are less then 1" thick, no, the 1" spacer will not clear the hood
i have a 3/8" spacer on there and it is VERY close. still running the stock rubber engine mounts. but i have a 2.5" hood on it now so it doesnt really matter to me anymore
Go to K-Mart or Wal Mart buy some clay. Stand up a piece on high spot of intake. Gently close hood. Open hood and see how tall piece of clay is now. Bubba
i have a trick flow intake and a 1 in spacer and with my stock hood it shut but was touching on the fire insulation and it melted some on my intake.lol
