Which bolt-on's to get?
Hi I'm thinking I'm gonna order some parts for my car's bday next week and was wondering what you guys thought of my list. All will be ordered from americanmuscle.
Boss 302 intake - want it but a little unsure of any problems that might stem from reving my engine past 7k to see the benefits. convince me....
CAI/tuner combo - This is essential obviously
Short throw shifter - slightly iffy on this, may leave for next time.
What would be the install time for the IM? I am fairly limited for mechanic's around in my city so I may just end up going to ford. I have a pretty good relationship with them seeing as how I've bought 2 brand new vehicles there in the past year. I might shop around a bit but there arent any specialty shops around here for cars. More or less just performance deisel.

The Coyote was proof tested to above 7500 RPM and held up reliably; its catastrophic failure I think might have been well above 8000 RPM.
People have put in tunes that moved the rev limiter and redline to 7K RPM and their cars are still running.
The Coyote is no Roadrunner (Boss engine) but it will hold its own even with a 7K RPM redline.
To destroy your engine at only 7K RPM, you would have to supercharge the **** out of it with insane 20PSI in the manifold, crank up the CR even more, and do some other stupid stuff.
But simply bolting on the Boss 302 intake manifold and tuning to push the redlline to 7K RPM will not destroy the engine by themselves.
