Default Replacement advice for stock rims on an 05 GT

I had a blowout on the way to Houston over the weekend. Problem is, these are the original tires from the factory with close to 60,000 miles on them. They're suggesting I go ahead and replace all of them (which I figured would be the case). Would y'all do the same?

I'm kinda looking at this as an excuse to maybe splurge a little and get some different rims. Too bad I'm in PA school right now and living the loan life. :P

Yes I would go ahead and get all new tires as I'm sure they don't have much life in them. With 60k on the stock tires, I would get new tires asap because I sure wouldn't want another blowout.

That's what I was probably going to end up doing anyways. Just thought I would poll the audience. Going to stay with the stock rims for now due to financial constrictions. Should I stick with the pirelli z neros or do you guys like another tire better? Anything with a similar or better road life and function for a cheaper cost?

Choosing a tire should be based on your needs as a driver. Head up to Tire Racks Decision Guide link in Choosing a new tire thread and will really help you narrow down your search.

Ended up going with the Yokohama AS530s. They had a buy 3 get 1 free deal at NTB with the purchase of an alignment. Saved about 80 bucks. Not too shabby.
