That looks like a 67 to me. I wonder why someone would go throught the trouble to put 68 door panels/handles, and seats in it? I kinda like the 68 door handles though. I might consider just leaving it that way.

Not everything has to match exactly for the year, unless your doing a concours restoration. I have 66 under dash AC in my 65.

Well years ago there was no aftermarket so if the seats and door panels looked bad you went to a junkyard,And probably a 68 was all they could find for parts. My dad had a 71 mustang when i was a kid i remember him having to go to a junkyard for most of the parts he needed.

I like the door handles to, their kinda neat. Im just tryin to figure all this out because I really like the style of the 67 door panels and seat more then this 68 comfortweave stuff that I have.

As a 68 owner, I have to say I like the 67 interior better.

I think I like the 67 seats and door panels and steering wheel better, but I really do like the 68 door handles.

I gotta say, my guess is that it came that way from the factory, especially if it's a later '67.

Production is an evolving thing - when you run out of one thing, you reach for the next thing in the bin, which could have easily been the '68 interior parts.

The '66 A/C in a '65 is probably another example of this.

Same, I like the '67 interior except for the door handles, they're too plain. The '68 door handles are much better looking IMO. I'll probably combine them in my '68.
