Mine bolts onto my coil bolt, but I have a 351w so its probably different. Just put the dipstick in and see what the braket lines up to.....

Just out of curiosity, does the curve in the dipstick go towards theengine, thats the way it looks in the pic,gut I want to be sure.

Mine has a bend and tilts torwards the passenger side of the car. Its a dipstick, how hard could it be? Shyt, id want to see you change you oil![&:] -Jon

I just don't want to screw it up. The dipstick tube was the reason I had to buy a new timing cover. I put together about half the motor this weekend, but haven't got around to putting in the dipstick, alt, or hoses.

Mine bolts in at the same bolt as the coil on my 66 289.
