yea, I know ,, "lol,, you said nipple" , I broke the vaccume check valve on the top of my brake booster, and was wondering how to pull the rest of it out. I know I can get a replacement at Kragen, or anywhere, but I dont want to drop anything into the booster. So is there a trick to it.. Its round with two flat sides and the pictures in the magazine looks just like it would pull out, but Im afraid to just yank on it...

I have done it multiple times. 2 options. 1) grab a hold and tug. Maybe try using some kind of glove grip or something on your hand.

2) (did this on accident MANY times) Push it in, then fish it out after removing the grommet. Reseat grommet, install new valve. You will need to have the booster out of the car to do this.

How about using a seal puller? Or maybe one of those Craftsman screw drivers that have 90 degree bends on each side and no handle. Just poke it in and pull it out.

What,, I dont plan on pulling the whole thing out..

So, you say I can just tug on it and hope the bottom portion dont break off?? Will do..
