(help) 1970 mustang starter upgrade
Hi, does anybody changed the old starter of a 1970 302 v8 for a technologicalnew one? if so where did you get it? do you have the part number? any recomandation?

Make sure you're getting the right one for your transmission...automatic versus manual.
These are cheap, light, more torque, and don't over heat from headers. Requires minor rewiring of starter circuit.

I have a Powermaster minitorque starter in my 67. Small, light, and works great. The rewiring is very minor; all you have to do is move the starter cable to the battery side of the fender solenoid and thenrun a wire from the now empty side to the solenoid on the starter. Powermaster includes the wire and instructions with their starters.
