Default Viberation, ends up its "Road Force"

I have been chasing a viberation issue for several months without success. The rims are new, the tires are new Goodyear Eagle F1 ZR rated tires. Everything was smooth as silk up to about 70 where as I could feel a little in the front and steering wheel. So after checking the normals, re-balance the tires, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, tire pressure, drive shaft angles, u joints etc, I decided to have the tires balanced again. This time I took them to a new shop with one of the latest balancers. Not only does this thing balance, it also checks the rim for run-out (trueness) and the roundness of the tire. Well after the results, I was shocked. I didn't have tires, I had rubber eggs. The test showed they were off by over 4 times the acceptable limit. Well to say the least, I was very upset. I had the test results copied so I could return the tires to where I had purchased them. Upon arriving at the store I was refered to the manager. At first he did'nt want to replace the tires but after showing him the test results and asking him to sign a statement why he would not replace the defective tires, he changed his mind. So as it stands now, new replacments are on the way, free of charge. You can bet I will have them tested also.

Ohyeh, I forgot to mention that the front ones (the bad ones) were made in Germany, the rear ones were made in the USA. All Goodyear Eagle F1's, thefronts are 245's and the rears are 275's.

Yeah, those roadforce machines are nice. Goodyear's quality control isn't exactly the greatest, so it doesn't suprise me that much.

You might end up with two more from Germany, I think that Goodyear is still on strike here in the US.

Good job figuring it out and getting those things replaced. We have one of those roadforce machines in town and I am definitly going to have it used on mine when I get the new tires soon.

I had this problem with some tires I bought at NTW for my Nissan truck.

I went though two sets of tires before I got 4 good ones.

To their credit, NTW was pretty cool about it. they acknowledged the problem and worked with me.

These days I pretty much only run Michelins.
