Ok my mistake. i found the 2 on the heads. but im not sure where to look for the block casting number. i crawled under and i found a 5 digit number. but its not a long number and it was under the last head above the starter. where doi look?

that's right. you'll need to know the block. headers and stuff dioesn't care.
the 1372.... number on your intake is the firing order

I'm not exactly sure where the block casting number onj a 351c is, but on 289s and 302 it's just where the starter bolts up.
That's the number you'll need to identify the engine (the block).

It's the one by the starter (i think) - if its out of a 72 torino it should start - D2OE

On Clevelands the number is on the passenger side towards the rear IIRC. The casting number on the intake D3 suggest that it is a '73 a '70 would be D0.
