Default Anybody have SSBC Force 10 disks?

So I just spent the entire day today installing the SSBC Force 10 conversion kit from drum to disk today, and I went to go put my wheels on, and what do you know... the wheel would not go on all the way... it hit the caliper.

I have American Racing Torq Thrust II's, and the very edge of the spokes, about 1/8" worth of material hits the caliper preventing the wheel from going on, or even being able to spin for that matter.

Now I have seen many mustangs at shows with these brake kits on them, with Torq Thrust II's and they seemed fine.

The calipers they were running however were different than the ones I recieved, seen at the bottom.

Does anybody have pictures they could give me of their car with these brakes on them, along with the wheel?

Please, I need these quick if possible, I am running out of options.

What size wheel, 16, 17? What size are the brakes?

Would shaving the caliper be out of the question?

Rmodel has there brakes and he runs a spacer in the front i forget what rims he has tho.Disc and drums use different offset changing to disc changes the backspacing so most rims that fit drums may not fit disc.Grinding on the caliper is wrong use a spacer or new rims.

i have bullit rims and run a 1 inch adapter, you can run a small spacer to fix your problem

I am assuming that you have 17'' x7 wheels but what back spacing are you running. I was thinking that 4'' back spacing would clear. and with 17x8 4.5 back spacing would clear

I have a 17 x 8 with 4.75" backspacing. This was the perfect backspacing to just fit up in the wheelwell when lowered.

It was also what both Mustangs Plus and National Parts Depot said was the correct backspacing when researching the correct size and spacing.

i am ordering the same kit and have been told that with the 8'' wide to go 4.5 and that any more i could run into it rubbing. If you had a 1/4 '' spacer that would be right? i think. i get confused with all the back spacing sometimes. If you had 7'' wide with 4'' bs that would almost be the same at 8'' with 4.5 (again i may be wrong but hope you get it straight so you can help me)

i was just thinking if you are hitting the spoke on they caliper i dont think that you will be able to get by without a spacer. I was wrong on bs that will not help in that area.

I stacked a few washers up on each stud to see how much is hitting the caliper. I have to run a minimum of 1/4" spacers. 5/16" would give a little more clearance, so I'm going to go with them just for peace of mind.

For anybody considering doing this swap, be warned your wheels may not fit!
