Its been a good long while since my last post, but I felt compeled to today. Jake (my son) was on his way to his first day in college this morning when he happened upon a much larger car goin a bit slower than he was. Yep, he hit the outer guy smack in the rear end. First look damage assessment looks like everything from the firewall forward is goign to be replaced....fenders, hood, inner fender aprons, all of the grill, valance, etc. Jake is OK, shaken up but OK. Ironically, Jake was on the way up to his first college class.....Introduction to Automitive Technology. He or I will keep posting as the repairs progress. Right now he needs to start with disassembly and indepth damage assessment.

ouch that sucks, how fast was the collision to do all that damage? Glad he is OK.

Got any pics of the damage? I would be interested in seeing them, others will be as well I'm sure.

Jake was going about 65 and the other guys was doing somewhere in the 55 range. Jakes front bumper nose dived under the other cats rear bumper, and thats what caused all the damage. I took some pics this afternoon and will try and get them posted tomorrow.
