Default Anyone tried the HIPO LED guage light bulbs?

I had a lot of trouble getting them to fit the lamp sockets as it explained I would in the instructions. Some of them worked, some of the pegs broke off the bottom of the lights while installing them, so now I can't use them. Those are way too expensive to be having the above problem with them! I may be going back with my old bulbs.

What do you mean? I believe you are suppose to cut the springs in half because they are not suppose to have so much spring pressure on them. Other than that whats the problem what pegs?

Def send them back if they are breaking that easy although he is a stickler about returns I'll tell you that. Make sure you set up a return right away because if its over 28 days he wont give you anything even though its his own product.

Personally would not ever buy anything from HIPO again I get my stuff cheaper on ebay from USHD.

Hmmm… Ya know, dash lights are not supposed to be visible to low-flying aircraft. The dimmer feature is intended to set the lights at the same brightness as the light reflected from the road surface. If the dash lights are significantly brighter than the road, it reduces your view of the road, thus reducing safety.

I don't like the LED dash lights because they don't evenly illuminate the gauges. I'll stick with regular bulbs.

I bought my LED's off ebay last year. Not as bright as I was hoping, about the same as the stock bulbs. But the color is much better, no longer that puke green mine had become. I'm happy with them because they were cheap and I got to pick the color.

Here are the pics of how my instrument cluster turned out. Needles repainted, Scott Drake white gauge face overlays, Mustang Project ultra bright white LED bulbs, matching white LED electronic tach with shift light... While there was a nice improvement in visibility, it was just a bit too modern for my taste. I went back to my black Autometer SportComp pedestal tach and just purchased a new OEM black cluster off of eBay. I will probably just run incandescent bulbs without the filters and paint repaint the inside of the cluster and the back of the bezel white to improve the brightness.
