All "64 1/2" Mustangs were considered by Ford to be 1965 models, and were titled as such. The "64 1/2" concept was invented by Mustang enthusiasts to distinguish the variation between April 64 - August 64 Mustangs and August 64 - August 65 Mustangs.

As far as value goes, there is no significant value difference beween the 64's and 65's.

If you don't know what the original build date is, what's the VIN?

a 64-68 coupe is the most common early mustang so unless its a rare one its not going to be worth a lot.So do like the rest of us build the car for you and enjoy driving it.
