I'd say drop all comments on price. The average buyer cares only about price, so that pressure will always be there. If you talk about quality, reference specific parts from a specific supplier. Forget the price. Cheapskate buyers will always keep that pressure on.

When posting comments, be specific, as in
"the blue paint on my Brand X™ gas cap faded to white in 6 months, the dealer where I got it said 'tough noogies', and Brand X™ refuses to deal with me directly".
That'll get more respect, and probably better results, than simply posting
"All Brand X™ parts suck".
That's just whining.

I drove out to Charlotte NPD a few weeks ago and the guy that was helping me acted shocked when I when I chose the more expensive part over the cheaper part. That said, I hope that my Scott Drake emergency brake parts hold up at least a month so that I can make the trip over to Hawaii and pass a safety inspection.

NPD Charlotte was awesome btw. I had that guy running back and forth into the parts warehouse, man they’re great.

2+2 is right, when people insist on buying on price alone, pretty soon all that is available are **** parts.

I don't know how much time I have spent trying to make substandard "replacement" parts look and work like they should, unthreaded holes, wrong contour, etc...

It is a sad state, often times when money is spent on a "quality brand", you are buying the same pos knock off that you can get for 1/2 price from someone else. I remember stuff like that though.
