Alright i rewiring my car right now with a summit harness. I know the rally pac is wired from the ignition switch to the rally pac then from the rally pac to the resistor wire then to the coil. Well im running ford duraspark ignition now and would like to keep the rally pac if possible but im thinking it may not work. Not really sure how i would wire it as the car has a separate coil wire with the harness and i dont run the resistor wire with the duraspark. Can i run the rally pack with out the resistor wire. I mean just take that coil wire from my harness run it to the rally pac then from the rally pac out to the negative on the coil.

To my knowledge, the rallypac tach hooked to the + side of the coil thru the restive wire so no, hooking it up to the neg side now is still not going to work. The resistor wire was there to protect the coil not the rallypac so it should still be OK to connect the rallypac tach wire directly to the +side of the coil. Add a 2 ohm 10 watt resistor to the rallypac wire if you want to be cautious.

Yes you are correct been looking at to many diagrams due to adding so much extra stuff from newer cars so i cant think. Now that looking at it, seems easy to hook up.
