Weld up Ford holes on Hood - Stripes?

Weld up Ford holes on Hood - Stripes?

Decided to have painter put put lemans stripes on my 66. Should I have him welds up holes for ford letters on hood. Or would it look okay with them on. Just curious what others have done. thanks

I left the holes and will be putting the letters back on.

Thanks - Looks good with letters that is what I'm going to do.

make sure he uses the proper spacing and widths for the stripes or it will look funny

Absolutely, if they are parallel down the entire car they will not look right. Here are the proper dimensions
