Default Vert Top Question

Can any of you vert owners tell me what is a good company online that I can buy a new top for a 94 vert? My neighbor two doors up had his top sliced last month and needs to replace it...and his top was brand new too. He doesn't want to replace the rear glass. just the top since it's cheaper and he has his rear window tinted. I heard that it's a more difficult install if you don't replace the glass at the same time. Please give me any install tips if you have any. We need to order a new one pronto andinstalled it since it looks nasty with that vinyl repair stuff on it (they sliced the top on the passenger side). I did a search, but didn't find anything.
Thanks

I know 50resto.com sells them, and everything I have heard from the says they have good quality parts and the like. I got mine slashed a couple times and lost a $100 radio both times. Second time my doors were unlocked. Most people just leave the doors unlocked since the radio and the like is 1-200 and a new top is much more, especially if you have canvas like me. BUt I would advise him to take it to a shop. Unless he has some serious experience they will do it alot better, and by the time you include all the frustrations it is well worth it. For vinyl it is usually like $800 or so.

Thanks for the info. We are going to try it ourselves since he doesn't want to spend that much money. I saw just the vinyl tops w/o window somewhere for around $200, but I wanted to make sure we got him a good one. The thing about his top getting slashed is they didn't even break in the car...just cut the top. He left it out of his garage for one night and he got cut. We think that some teenagers probably did it since he has a teenage son. Most likely a girl that got mad at him and his dad took the hit.
