Thumbs up The "Mighty Clay Bar": USE IT!!!

I just used Meguiar's Clay Bar and I HAVE to share my experience/opinion. It's not necessarily the brand of the clay bar that I'm raving about because I've used Mothers too, but the clay bar itself.

I've been detailing my cars since I was 17 and I never heard of the clay bar until a while ago. The clay bar does more good for your paint than any other products combined. The process is so easy too. My car was COVERED in a sheet of tree sap which pi$$ed me off royally. I tried Meguiar's compound, Mother's cleaner-wax, syn-wax, etc. and NOTHING worked. The clay bar removed every bit of dirt, oxidation, tree sap, etc., and made the surface of the paint PERFECTLY silky and smooth. Before you polish/wax your car, USE THE CLAY BAR. *That little bit of advice came from AUTOGEEK.NET.

In my opinion, Meguiar's worked better, but that's just me. I hope you get the same results that I did.

I was very surprised how much road crap was on the car, even after a thorough wash, and how much the clay bar took off. It's a must if you remotely care about the appearance of your car

FYI- for all you drag racers who are not into car detailing, the clay bar does a great job of getting burned tire rubber off of the fenders. If you regularly wax your car, or put a quick coat of wax on the fenders before going to the track, the clay works even faster. IMO, it looks better than going to track with painter's tape on the fenders, and its much easier on your finish than scrubbing, or using heavy degreasers or compounds...

Yes- any painted surface (and some other surfaces too).
