Or you can just buy what they call the race application for 50 bucks. It's a small little piece, but I think this fits your discription.

o man! i thought it was a couple bucks to make the coolant filter cost 60 bucks on ebay. i might just try to make one with a pcv T-tube wit a screw on top and mesh cuz thats all it really is i think.

ooo... hoppodstang that looks like wat i was looking for too. i can use the clear tube with the filter too and i can see how much crap its catching too. and txjason1 we should make the filters and sell em on ebay lol.

if you're looking for a coolant filter set up go look around on the Powerstroke sites. I've had one on my diesel for almost 4 years now. You'd be surprised how much $hi+ you can shake out of them after about a year or so and my diesel runs a hell of a lot cooler than any of our stangs. My feeds from an outlet on the water pump and drains back into the overflow tank, got the same set up for my tranny. You might have to get creative in whereand how to mount it but that was one of the first mods I did to my powerstroke and i buy my filters in bulk and change them twice a year.
