RE: Just put on the FRPP Stingers
MCribbs I hate to rain on your parade but you are most likely not going to have any difference in sound. I had my Borla CB system and added an x-pipe with factory cats and the sound didn't change at all. The only way it will change is if you swap out the cats for some high-flows but that's about it.

Well I'm relieved to hear that it didn't have a negativeimpact on the sound. Staying the same I can certainlyhandle--ifthere's no audible difference I've only spent$130 and the current exhaust note is fantastic. Thanks!

Well I figured I would add my two cents on the FRPP stinger install...
The stock and stinger mufflers (at least the ones I have) both have a slot for the nub everyone's talking about. The new mufflers slid past the nub (rather, the nub had a place to slide into the new mufflers, just like the old ones did). The clamps that came with the stingers were clamped either directly over the nub, or towards the front of the car (away from the actual muffler). I can't exactly remember which way it was done, but in any case I have not noticed any leaks...
One thing I have noticed, and am trying to troubleshoot, is a rattle when going over fairly big bumps. I suspect that one of the muffler tips is hitting the bumper cutout, but I am not sure. Everything seems to be pretty secure, but there is enough play that the tips could make contact if the pipes were flexed enough. Anyone else have this problem?
