whats up with the tuned engines ticking?

RE: whats up with the tuned engines ticking?
Pinging, detonation, loud clattering noises, or non-rhythmic ticking should all be investigated.
However, the normal quiet valve clatter of the engine should be very steady at idle. Tis a noisy engine in more ways than one.

RE: whats up with the tuned engines ticking?
I have a steady ticking at idle. The hood doesn't have to be open to hear it, butI do have to have the windows down and pull up into an enclosed space or next to a wall to hear it. I started noticing it after I had longtubes installed, but I believe I've heard they will make you hear those noises more, so I have assumed it is just normal engine noise.
