Yes, a catted X will reduce the drone.
Yes, there is less drone after they break in.
Yes, the drone is really annoying. It's not like hearing the engine rumble. It's a loud hum that is not desirable at all.

I'm most likely selling my stingers soon. I'm switching to Bassani catted X with Bassani street mufflers.

FYI..the bassani catted X pipe will not reduce the drone, trust me ive had it and noticed no difference! borlas just drone...but they do sound good. if you really cant stand drone get another axleback, itll be cheaper than buying a catted X pipe and finding the drones still there just louder! LOL
