Default Question on exhaust wrapping

I have a Pypes O/R X-pipe and I was thinking about wrapping the mid-pipe. My question is will wrapping the mid-pipe change the exhaust note at all both inside and outside the car, and are there any side affects to wrapping the mid-pipe.

wrapping the pipe tends to decrease the life of exhaust parts. Spray the hell out of the pipe with anti-corrosive rust inhibitor and spray again after you wrap. I haven't ever noticed a change in acoustics from wrapped exhaust.

Why would you want to wrap them? Are you worried about heat soak?
