I hate that (less than)3% of the MT82's are problematic and THAT is causing such heartache. It is NOT made of glass!!! It's a perfectly FINE transmission. Some had/have issues. A majority of the issues are from abuse or uneducated diagnosis of problems. The issues HAVE been taken care of by FORD. (And a lot of those issues were NOT even the actual trans. They were the clutch and clutch peddle.) Jeez!
OP: Just KEEP your MT82 unless you have an issue....and even if you DO have an issue(unlikely), take it to FORD and have 'em diagnose the issue correctly. There is no need to fix something that isn't broken.
