Default Question on the 2013 GT - trunk color only available black?

I noticed all the trunks appear to be painted gloss black between the tail lights. Is there an option from the dealer to have it match the car? Or is that something you'd have to get done yourself if you really wanted to? I really liked the look of the 2012 trunk when they matched the rest of the car.

As far as I know, there is no option. They all come with the black between the tail lights

i could be wrong, but i think it's an overlay which is attached to the faux gascap (all one piece). I was monkeying around with my step-bros trying to figure out this exact thing.

didn't get too far, but i bet if you pop the trunk and remove the deck panel, you'll be able to remove that whole piece...but why? The look is amazing and super clean!

edit-updated:
ok...i wasn't wrong. connected by dowl pins and 2-sided tape

I actually really like the black in between! But I had no idea you'd be able to take it off, that's pretty sweet.

Steel pony is right. It appears that there is paint under the panel. Looks like some fasteners on the inside of the trunk. I'm leaving mine alone.

You can pry it off, but there will be clips & holes.
