Matching paint
Some very super nice person decided they would take a little of my paint with them as they left a parking lot where my car was parked.
I am wondering how hard will it be to match the kona blue paint on the 2010?
An suggestions regarding the right body shop. I am in Houston.
Thanks in advance!

Nowadays the larger body shops can use spectrophotometry (that's a big word ) to mix paint colors and get an exact match. Since yours is a metallic paint color, the whole panel will need to be painted 'cause it's difficult to blend in metallic paint on a partially painted panel.

I had a woman back into my '05 Screaming Yellow GT, took damage to the bumper, hood, right front fender. I had experience with a body shop locally from my GMC. He found Ford parts, and told me he popped in my VIN number, or part of it, into a computer, and out came the paint. Looks Great!
I picked up a used '13 Forester last year, looked good, except the hood, looked like a light rash of chicken pox or something. Same body shop, same story, looks great!
Shouldn't be too hard to match your paint I am thinking. They'll most likely tell you not to wax or put anything on the new paint for a month. FWIW
