Can a sn95 5.0 engine go into a 76 mach 1 fastback?
Hey guys. My buddy has a mean lookin 76 mustang mach 1 with an old 134hp 5.0 that is running like ****. I don't know anything about these old mustang but this is a beautiful car with all red leather interior but this engine has over 500,000 miles on it. If I bought his car from him would it be possible to swap engine with a perfect running sn95 5.0. The 76 is a 4speed standard and the sn95 is a 5speed standard. What could and couldn't I swap into the fastback. They are both 5.0's so could the new engine bolt up to the old transmission or would I have to swap the transmission from the sn95 also? Thanks alot guys and please feel free to post any comments on what you think about this swap. Does it sound like a good idea, and do you think it will perform well...????
