How much will this help? I notice the tach drops slowly between shifts. That tells me restricted air flow. How much will the K&N help over stock for that and power/mileage?

Well in my opinion, it's just one of many, I'd say it's basicly a crapshoot buying KN filters.I really have no experiance tuning a FI car but years ago I used a KN filter on a carbed car. It was 14 inches in diameter and 4 inches high, in fact I got the complete air filter and all. The claim was that my car would run just as fast as it would without any filter at all. Well it ran 3 tenths faster after I removed the complete aircleaner from the car than with it. This was a quarter mile. So you should take the claims of any manufacturer with a grain of salt. I'm going to get a KN and then make a couple of runs at a track with the stock then install the KN and see what happens.
