I've been hearing a real annoying squeak for a while now. I checked the belt and it was fine. Checked the pulleys and the only one that was squeaking when I rotated it was the alternators pulley. I took it in to get rebuilt and the noise stopped. I put it back in and I still hear the noise. The noise comes and goes randomly but most of the time once I hit 3rd gear and continue to accelerate. When I let go of the gas and come to a stop, the noise stops. Anyone had a similar issue? Its driving me nuts and I'm starting to think it has nothing to do with the pulleys/belt. Please help.

If it were starting as soon as you apply the brakes that's an easy one I had the same problem... Yours is a tough one. Welcome!
