no exhaust is better than another. performance wise anyway. it all depends on what sound you want. you have to hear them in person. some of the LM2 clips i've heard online (including my own), don't sound anything like they do in person.

There aren't a whole lot of Mustang owners around here, at least not any that mod Mustangs, so I can't really hear any in person. Can anyone help me out with sound?

I have BBK longtube headers, VRS catted X-pipe and Magnaflow Magnapacks. When I rev the engine it sounds like this:

Vroom......Vroooooommm........Vroooooooooommmmmm

Is that the sound you are going for? Sweet, eh?

Seriously, these guys are right. It's going to be hard to describe a sound to you and sound clips don't it. I saw you mentioned something about Modular Powerhouse. Those guys sold me the BBK headers and the VRS midpipe (installed them too), so that's the setup they recommend. Also, while I was there I saw 3 other guys besides me with Magnapacks and one with SLP's. The SLP's were obnoxiously load in my opinion, but then again I was standing 10 feet from the car on a dyno at WOT.

Good luck.

Ok, thanks, I think I'm going with SLP LM 2's, but still not sure about midpipe. I'll figure it out when the time comes i guess.
Thanks for all the help guys.

if you want a deeper tone that shakes more, get an H, if you want a pur and a badass WOT, get the X.

Hmm....sounds like X is the way to go. I like a loud WOT A pur is always good.

Oh and can you get the SLP LM2's and wait to get the mid pipe or is it a bad idea to get the at different times?

lots of people get the catback first and get the midpipe later. it took me almost 4 months before i got my midpipe with my old LM1s. when i did get the midpipe, it really woke them up.
