Metal to metal noise in rear when turning right only!
#11
I was thinking either this, or the brake pads. When I had brand new pads installed with brand new rotors I got a similar noise when I would swerve left and right going down the road. If not those two things then I'm out of ideas!

We have checked all rotor/ brake clearances. Thinking it must be LCAs or upper center control arm. I discovered a nice used upper CA on one of my parts cars yesterday. Going to swap that and see. If no change will do LCAs.

have you checked your shock bushings, top and bottom? also don't forget about your rear sway bar bushings. since you mentioned it sounds like metal on metal, I would lean towards any of the bushings in the rear links and PH bar. if you replace the bushings with poly or spherical ends, you will get A LOT of noise thru the rear floor. its not a bad thing per se', just the noise of the diff being transferred thru the links and PH bar. good luck

Look for shiny spots where things are rubbing. Others have said dust shield, exhaust etc. Look at the arms and see if the tires are moving enough to contact anything. I would suspect an axle bearing. Lift the car and rotate the wheel and feel for any roughness. Also if your car has rear drums, look inside. The last Mustang I bought had the adjusters rolling around inside the drum.
