Shoulda bought a GT [/sarcasm]
Yup, anything can be made fast, and those SS's aren't too shabby. I'd still rather have a 2003-2004 Mercury Marauder, and with a Trilogy supercharger those beasts will REALLY scoot! For those who have never seen what I mean -

My mechanic recently outfitted his ancient 70's Monte Carlo with a 383 stroker(also has headers and a hi-stall converter). Claims it's rated for 500 chp. We duked it out from a few digs and a roll. No contest. That thing screams. He pulled me in every gear. Plus, hesaid hehad toshort shiftbecause of an ignition problem. He took me for a ride later. It pulled like a *****, even with the short shifting. Would love to see what it can do when the ignition problem is fixed, and he'sable to redline it.

Left work for some lunch, and I'm sitting at a red light--I'm the first car. Behind me, an Impala SS pulls up--not the new ones, one of the '94-'95 types that look like a Caprice. I could just hear a big, cammed V8 throbbing..blub..blub..blub..blub..
He revved it up a couple times behind me, and it sounded like hell on earth.. I was like.. great.. I'm dead.
To those that don't know new Mustangs, they might think from behind that I'm a GT, since I have duals.. at any rate, he wanted to run me.
Light goes green, I floor it, and it was as if our two cars had magnets in the bumpers because he was glued to me. As soon as we cleared traffic.. he whipped into the right lane, and passed me like I was standing still. And as he passed, I noticed his license plate which said: "383STRK" 383 stroker..
Now who's the guy that said the 4.0 was a torque monster again?

I love Marauders, I think they are very sexy cars
Did those SS's come with LT1's in them?
