Evo VIII MR modded vs Stock 5.0 (followup from bench racing section)

Great runs man!!! Not gonna lie I'm surprised at the out comes for sure from a roll and even more so from a dig. I know you say he has the driver mod over you but if you're able to get the car out the whole that well then you are doing very well my friend! UNLESS he hasn't gotten the awd launch down yet.
Can't wait to see some track times from both cars and hopefully videos as well.

He said he was happy on our very last race with his launch, (I spun pretty bad) but even then it wasn't more than 1 car advantage.. so I guess these cars are pretty close.
Excited about going to the track! I'll dust off the camcorder and post em up (probably within 30 days from now.

A lot of us have seen what a stock turbo EVO can do up top. They all run different however, depending on how well they're tuned, etc. OP did well, but its a pretty tough call to make when dealing with a modded EVO. Better to assume the worst, imo.

dont beat him too bad, if you do he'll want to upgrade the turbo then you're toast. my buddies evo is practically identical to the one you raced only instead of a stock turbo he's got a gt35. his car made 480whp with meth when he got it.
i am however surprised that he got you from a dig. i have not once seen an evo driver who would actualy launch their car. makes the awd thing useless.

The stock turbo is probably at its limit on the higher speeds, it can only flow so much air. With a bigger turbo, well, you know what would happen. And also, how quickly were each runs done? His intercooler could have been heatsoaked too, and that, let me tell you, kills our turbo cars.
