Default Looking for lowering springs for my 04 gt vert

Im new to the convertible scene and am looking to lower it over the winter and am looking for some suggestions.....i was looking at the ford racing springs because of the prices seem reasonable.I want to stay between 1-1.5".

I've heard that it matters what kind of springs i go with since its a convertible?Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Lonny

Yes.... the vert springs are a bit higher rate for the same drop as a GT, as it weighs a bit more. Your drop is fine for reasonable clearance over speed bumps and such, but you really should consider a new set of properly matched shocks/struts, as well. The OEM ones are going to be "too long" for a drop and will ride/handle a bit harshly.

What are the ULTIMATE goals for your ride?

I have just recently ordered Eibach springs and shocks/struts from AmericanMuscle. I am still waiting on a part or two more before I install. Check out the website, they have plenty of pictures that buyers have posted, so you can get an idea of how much lower it will go.

I had an 04 GT vert with Eibach Pro Kit springs and Strange 10-way adjustable struts and shocks. It was neither a roadrace car nor a drag racer. It was just a fun street cruiser. I loved the spring and dampener package.

For what it's worth, we sell the Strange 10-ways and the Eibach Springs (labeled UPR Pro Series springs) at www.uprproducts.com

Let me throw our spring into the ring as well!!

We offer our Sport Springs which will get you to the ideal drop you are looking for. Here are just some of the product beneifts that you will achieve with our springs:

Spring rates 650lb front, 250lb rear.
Big improvement in handling and looks
Maintains good ride quality

Great for day to day driving, and if you want to kick it up a notch it will adjust to that too.
