Default How Much Should an 8.8" Rearend Swap Cost????

I know I don't need the brakes and shocks (have 11.65" Mach1/Cobra rotors already and gonna have Tokico D-Specs before the swap). What about the control arms? I'm looking to do just the rear end swap at the moment - not gears, stronger differential, or hardened axles.

Only cost should be the rear-end and quadrashocks and the mounting holes for those are already present in your chassis. Should be a direct replacement reusing your current control arms.

Quad shocks suck, as long as your replacement rear is the same generation, it's a direct swap, takes about 30 minutes. You don't even have to disconnect your brake lines, just unbolt the calipers.

So take the quad shocks off and just leave the regulars (Tokicos in my case)???

Also thanks for the info everyone.. but how much $$$ should the rear end be? The average on the net is around $600... from mps and ebay, can't find one on craigslist for my area. Would I have better luck at teh junkyard? I thought it shouldn't be more than $300.

I've gotten 3 of them and have yet to spend a dime. It's all in where you get them and who you know.

Sorry for the thread revival, but I've been busy working. Anyways, Ryan that's cool, but not likely for me. Shizzle got an 8.8"... maybe he'll chime in??? (anyone else is welcome as well)...
