Yeah man all u have to do to use a gt catback system is put in an h pipe or x pipe whichever u prefer, then the gt catback will work. To use the h pipe, u can either go ahead and get new headers and all, or just go back to ur cut the exhaust before it gets to the y pipe and then weld the h pipe in

Sounds simple enough, so I just cut off the pipe before my stock y pipe and weld the h pipe on with my choice of Gt cutback?

youll want to measure and make sure that the catback will be long enough once u cut, like dont cut to far up or to far down becuz the catback would then be to short or long. If your not worried about how much money you spend you could always get longtube headers and do a full exhaust! Also i believe they make o/r h pipes for v6's that make it where you dont have to cut and weld, they will bolt right on
