LSD for a V6?

Depends on what kind of power you'll be putting through it and what kind of a budget you have
On the cheap, a FRPP 7.5" T-lok is an ok option. A step up from there is something like a Detroit TrueTrac 7.5", whuch sime have said will hold up even better than a standard T-lok 8.8".

If you are going to do what your name implies then you might be more interested in building the 7.5" up because it is lighter overall.
For haste and cost, a SRA from a 94-04 GT, 94-98 Cobra, 01' bullitt and 03/04 Mach 1 will all fit. The GT are 28 spline axles, the rest are 31 spline axles and have bigger 11.65" vented brakes. Gears are dependant upon the years and range from 2.73 to 3.27 to 3.55.
The 99+ are slightly wider, filling the fender wells more and aids in stability.
If you are going to do a swap or an upgrade it is best to have all of your modifications ready to be completed at the time of swap.
If you choose to build a 7.5" I would look for a 99+ wider 7.5" and build it on the side so your car is not down.
As far as building a 7.5" goes, just stay away from the Ford Racing T-Loks and you will be fine.
